Scientist Man Vs. God’s Plan Essay, Research Paper
Read from the book of Mark 13:6-8, 12-13, 21-23, 29-31.
Now in my sermon today we will analyze the differences
between scientific and biblical studies, before Christ, and
after….
First, scientist believe in what is know as the human
evolution. Now according to the Encarta encyclopedia the
Human Evolution, is the biological and cultural
development of the species Homo sapiens, or human
beings. Now, scientist say that a large number of fossil
bones and teeth have been found at various places
throughout Africa, Europe, and Asia. Tools of stone, bone,
and wood, as well as fire hearths, campsites, and burials,
also have been discovered and excavated. As a result of
these discoveries, a picture of human evolution during the
past 4 to 5 million years has emerged. Humans, along
with our extinct close ancestors, and as they say, our
nearest living relatives, the African apes, are sometimes
placed together in the family Hominid. They believe that
between 7 and 20 million years ago, primitive ape-like
animals were widely distributed on the African and, later,
on the Eurasian continents. This is their justification for
us, humans, being here today. In other words, they believe
we evolved from monkeys.
Now I?m no seminary school alumnae, I have not a BA
in theology, I don?t have a MA in philosophy, nor do I have
a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies, but I do have b-i-b-l-e. Church I
have God?s word, and if God said it, that?s all that matters.
If you have bibles would you turn with me, to the book of
Genesis: Chapter 1 Verses 26-28, and Genesis: Chapter 2
Verses 6 & 7. Please stand for the reading of God?s word.

Chapter 1:
26 And God said, let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all
the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon
the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of
God created him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:
and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the
fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon
the earth.
Chapter 2:
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the
whole face of the ground.
7 But when the Lord God formed man of the dust of the
ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and
man became a living soul.
This is just one analogy of Scientists? Man vs. God? Plan.
In further evaluation of scientific thought, I?ve
found that scientist and sociologist tend to believe that the
reason for the school terrors of 99, the reason for a little
middle schooled boy murdering a little elementary girl, and
the reason for the wrath of teenage students on their peers, is
the fault of social diversity and ethnicity. The Christians are
beginning to quote that famous scripture…?Train up your
child in the way that he should go, and when he gets old, he
will not depart from it.? Well Christians God has not given
us the spirit of fear, but he has given? us his power, a sound
mind, he?s given? us love and joy…If you look back to my
beginning text you?ll find that it was already foretold by the
Lord.
The youth today, are afraid to praise the Lord, they?re
scared of what people will say, they?re afraid of being
persecuted by the friends, but I come to let you know that if
you read in the book of the Gospel According to John, you
find in chapter 15 verse 18, that Jesus tells us, ?Just as sure
as they talked me, they?re surely gonna talk about you.
They?re
also afraid, and now fearful for their lives, they are afraid
that if they serve the Lord in their schools they just may not
live to see another day, well if you refer again to my
opening text, in Mark Chapter 13 verse 13, you?ll find that
God tells us that if you are in him, in the last days, you will
be hated by those who don?t believe in him…But the Lord
says that if you endure until the end you will surely have the
victory, you will win the war, and fly away to a home on
God?s celestial shore. Hallelujah.
You got babies makin? babies. I heard one say, ? I
was lookin? for love?. They?re layin? up, lettin? these thugs,
girls and guys, take advantage of ?em. Well I come today to
tell you that if you look in the book of 1st John 4 and 8,
you?ll find out that God is love. If you lookin? for love,
think about when Jesus was stretch on Calvary?s cross. He
hung and he died. Why? So the we may live eternally with
him, if we believe. Now that?s love… Romans 12 and 1
says. ?I beseech ye therefore brethren by the mercies of God
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice holy and
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.?
Now if you ain?t married and you wanna make it in to
heaven you and got no business sleepin? around and
fornicatin? with your sisters husband, or your bother?s wife.
Oh see, now I didn?t come to sugar coat nothin? you might
as well get with me…If I?m preaching right now turn to ya?
neighbor, give him a high – five and say ?neighbor that
youth, is on fire?….Shout Yea. Ye-ea Yeah.
These plagues are not just coincidental, they are
warnings from the Lord. Warning us and lettin? us know
that time, is of the essence, that time, is not on your side,
time, is winnin? up, it?s time to get right with God, It?s time
to stop bein? paper chasers, and time to start bein? chasers of
the word.

I come to tell you that no man knows the day or the
hour at which the son of man shall appear. Gabriel is on
that horn, and he?s gettin? ready to blow, when that great
trumpet sounds and my Lord and Savior comes in riding on
a cloud, will you be ready? How many of you all believe
that he?s comin? back. If you believe turn to your neighbor
and say neighbor I believe that he?s comin? back, he?s
coming back, shout yeah………..
In closing, I wanna chat with ya just for a little while
on the Christian approach to these plagues…..1. you?ve got
to humble yourself before God, and turn from your wicked
ways…2. you?ve got to pray. Why? Because the prayers of
the righteous availeth much. When you find your self in the
midst of a trial, in the midst of heart ache, your children
won?t do right, your husband has lost his job, your wife
thinking more about her cosmetics than she is about food
being on the kitchen table….No that he dwells in the midst of
your praise….See you?ve gotta be like Job when he?d lost all
he had he still rejoiced in the Lord……You?ve gotta be like
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in other words you?ve
got to have faith in God…You?ve gotta believe that in the
midst of your suffering, God will show up and show
out…You?ve got to understand that he is coming back for a
church without a spot or wrinkle…You can?t be sittin? up in
here worried about your money being lost by the banking
systems, as a result of the Y2K. I heard one preacher say
that Y2K stand s for yield to the King. I wanna know today
have you stocked up on your water and can goods for the
Y2K, have you loaded up your cabinets with a little bit of
faith, have you loaded up with a little bit of the living water,
I?m talking about the water that?ll be like Kool-aid and
Quench your thirst…Until you?ll have to thirst no more. I?m
talking by the word of the Lord….Have you Checked the
BIOS and the Random Access Memory of your computer, to
make sure that it had been transformed to be Y2K
compliant, in other words have you been transformed by the
renewing of you mind. Finally have you Defragged your
hard drive, so that your computer will run a little smoother
when Y2K confronts us, in other words have you been
washed in the blood of the crucified one, have you been to
as Lashun Pace-Rhodes says, God?s Chemical Laboratory of
Redemption…..If you?ve been delivered stand up on the legs
that God has blessed you with, and help me praise the Lord.
