Save the Last Dance took place in New York City. It was snowing in the movie so it must be winter. The movie?s appearance and choreography matched the setting of New York City. Usually in New York City you would hear cars, buses, trains, guns, people yelling and cursing, cars tires screeching, etc. You would also see stuff like wrecked up cars, tall buildings, apartments, clubs, basket ball courts, graffiti, etc. Speaking of the settings and sounds, the music also matched the movie. They had a little bit of gangster rap and sop hip-hop and R & B. The music was very easy to identify by the viewers. When the music came on, people jumped out of their seats and started dancing. The lighting of this movie can be a little better. Viewers were complaining about how dark it is and how difficult it is to see the characters outside.
