Another Day Essay, Research Paper
Puzzled and startled I turned over in my bed. The hideous noise that woke me up won’t stop! So I get out of my bed and slip on my sandals. Trotting all the way across the room, I trip over various obstacles before finally reaching the source of the noise. I hit the snooze button and dread another day. With more and more procrastination as each minute passes I attempt to get ready for class. My first call is an eight O’clock. Breakfast starts at seven, so to keep my stomach from growling in the morning I must be moving and done with my shower by at least six thirty. It is cold this particular morning so I want to be in the hot shower that I love. I take three paces to the door. The handle is cold to the touch. Almost breaking my hand to turn the knob because I have ghetto doors, I realize someone is already in the bathroom. Just great, all I need another chance to lie back down so I can doze off and be late for class. No I will not, so I decide to iron while I am waiting. I might as well go ahead and lay out my clothes and everything I need for the day. I pull my biology book from the top shelf of the mini bookcase that is mounted to the wall and proceed with studying for the big test that I have today. Then the phone rings twice. “who is this calling me this early?” “Could I use your computer?” “No!” Then I hang up. It was a pesky little girl that is always calling and she knows I don’t like her romantically. Well back to studying, which I should have done already. Boom, boom, boom, “I’m done.” Great now I can get clean. I hurry and run to the bathroom before someone else has a chance to go before me. After jumping in the shower I immediately fall into a trance because the water is so warm. Finally I am dome and I get dressed.
Armed with my books that I need for my first class I make my way to the caf?. The usual is served every single morning! There is always three meats, eggs, waffle, biscuits, grits, and hash browns. I get the same thing every time sausage and grits. The grits are never cooked to perfection they are always gritty. After adding a little sugar will make them a little better. I quickly eat because I have to get to class. So as soon as I am done I am off. I have been late to this class for two weeks straight and I refuse to be late anymore. We learn lots and them we are dismissed and there are only ten minutes between classes so I am pressed for time. Quickly I change books and start to speed walk to the biology class I dread. I thought long and hard about weather to go to the class or not, but I can not afford to miss it. I have to at least look confident before taking the test because it will not benefit me to look any other way. So I take the test and I know I failed so I quickly get out. After I eat lunch my day is pretty much done so I start to make my way to the caf?. Once more they serve a predictable menu. I don’t even want to stay but because my friends are here I will sit with them and talk. We are the loudest in the caf? and everyone is staring but they can kiss our butts. We all finally go our own ways and now I have so much time to kill. I need to go and read ahead for some of my classes but I won’t I’ll just go in the room and go to sleep.
