При добавлении суффикса –ty у некоторых числительных изменяется произношение или написание корня.

20 – two – twenty 60 – six – sixty

30 – three – thirty 70 – seven – seventy

40 – four – forty 80 – eight – eighty

50 – five – fifty 90 – nine – ninety

Остальные числительные являются составными. Десятки с единицами образуются так же, как и в русском языке, но пишутся через дефис:

25 – twenty-five

46 – forty-six

94 – ninety-four

100 – hundred числительные hundred, thousand

1000 – thousand не употребляются в форме five thousand books множественного числа, т.е. не three hundred people имеют окончания – s

Exercise №1

Для того, чтобы запомнить числительные выбирайте произвольно цифры (вразброс) и называйте их по-английски. В этом тренинге важен темп работы, от которого будет зависеть скорость вашего запоминания числительных.

Назовите произвольно 40-50 цифр. На следующий день снова повторите это упражнение.
